Clinic Visits

Before the implementation of Lean in all 27 clinics, the volume peaked at approximately 12,378 patients per month due to the lengthy front end and back end process. The front end portion of the process was from scheduling to exam and the back end portion was from exam to when the patient leaves. Prior to lean implementation, the front end process took an average of 91.5 minutes and the back end 39 minutes.

Within 11 months of the Lean implementation in the clinics, the front end of the process decreased by 58% to 38 minutes and the back end decreased by 31% to an average of 27 minutes resulting in increased volume and decreased costs. The increase in volume through the clinics resulted in over $900K in additional revenue.
